1. This Wednesday, February 27th at the Lula Livre Vigil, there was another conversation circle about urgent subjects related to the national political conjuncture. Today's conversation was facilitated by Didice Godinho Delgado, a member of the Berlin Lula Livre- Brazil Resists Forum. Didice, a Brazilian who lives in Berlin, spoke to the people present about the importance of continuing to denounce the political imprisonment of former President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva in international events, to strengthen the campaign for his freedom. 2. The Lula Livre Vigil coordinators deeply lament the passing, on Tuesday, February 26, of Lirani Franco, an activist from the World Woman's March, teacher and member of the APP Public Education Teachers Union of Paraná. Her example of feminist struggle against the patriarchy and for a more just world will live on. A math teacher, Lirani was a two time city councilwoman in Fazenda Rio Grande, a suburb of Curitiba, and was a constant presence at the Vigil. 3. Paulo Okamotto, president of the Lula Institute, and Márcio Macedo, ex-Federal Congressman from Sergipe and national Vice President of the PT, visited the Lula Livre Vigil in Curitiba to show their solidarity with the activists. Both spoke with the activists about the Brazilian conjuncture and the threats of Jair Bolsonaro's right wing extremist government to the Brazilian people's rights.
