Bulletin 400 – People's Committee in Defense of Lula and Democracy

Straight from Curitiba – 3/26/2019 – 354 days of resistance – 8:50 PM

1. The Lula Livre Caravan will pass through Porto Alegre, Florianopolis and Curitiba, from April 5 - 7, strengthening the movement for freedom for ex-President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, who has been a political prisoner for nearly one year. Fernando Haddad, the former PT candidate for president in the 2018 elections, will participate in the caravan. The mobilization will also have the goal of confronting the setbacks of the Bolsonaro government and strengthening the fight against pension reforms. This is the first Caravan in which Lula will not participate, but it will carry his rallying cries for a sovereign, democratic and, above all, fair Brazil. Read more here:

2. On this Tuesday, March 26th, former candidates for the Brazilian presidency Fernando Haddad (PT) and Guilherme Boulos (PSOL),  Maranhão governor Flávio Dino (PC do B), and former Paraiba governor Ricardo Coutinho (PSB) met in Brasilia. The objective of the meeting was to talk about the work that opposition leaders are doing together. After the meeting, they issued a statement in which they evaluate the Bolsonaro government's mismanagement and speak of the issues that will need big people's mobilizations to overturn, such as pension reform. Boulos' Vice Presidential candidate, Sonia Guajajara (PSOL) also participated in the meeting. Read the statement here:

3. The website for the Lula Livre virtual auction is up and running. There are 50 photographs, autographed by Lula, which register diverse moments of his personal and political life, donated by 43 photographers. The online auction will be accessible on the following site: . On April 3rd, during the same week that will mark one year of Lula's political imprisonment, the auction will take place in São Paulo and Paraiba, starting at 7:30 PM. Read more here:
